Debbie grew up in suburban Detroit surrounded by musicians — two drummer brothers and a stepfather who played percussion for Motown — and has been singing since she was five. After years away in fashion and raising a family, she's back doing the thing she loved first.

Jim picked up a guitar at ten after listening to his father play, and hasn't put it down since. He's been dragging gear into friends' garages ever since, and says of this one: "this band kicks it!"

Courtney started piano at four and followed her grandmother into music teaching — 25 years of elementary school so far. Sound Bite is her putting herself out there in a new way: "It's been a learning experience that I am really enjoying."

Bill grew up in a house that was never quiet — pop and rock, Broadway, country, Sinatra. Organ lessons lost out to sports as a kid, and it wasn't until much later, after another run at keys, that he came to the bass, where he spends most of his free time.

Greg started playing drums in elementary school and has been behind the kit ever since. After performing with several bands through high school and college, he began playing regularly after graduation. Years later, a chance conversation with Jim Valver brought the two musicians together, and they’ve been making music together ever since.
